Casting
Processes include sand casting, carbon stainless steel castings, lost wax casting, lost foam casting, pressure die casting, gravity die casting and vacuum casting in steel, aluminium, zinc and non ferrous alloys. The casting process is firstly selected to meet the casting designs’ final function and then best fitted to achieve least cost. Chemical composition is controlled utilising fast analytical measurement to verify compliance.
Mechanical properties are achieved through heat treatment utilising control of time, temperature and cooling rates. Environmental controlled heat treatment furnaces include annealing, hardening, tempering and carburising, with the addition of vacuum heat treatment for super alloys.
Forging & Stamping
Able to cast billet to specification gives an added advantage to the designer particularly for smaller batches or unusual compositions offering open and closed die forging processes. Stamping of plate section to 6mm.
Extruding
Utilising our partners we are able to supply aluminium extrusion and in T conditions and shipping lengths to 4 metres. A speciality is to bend polished, stainless steel sheet over aluminium extrusions producing architectural hand rail balustrade features. Cut lengths are accurate to +/-0.5mm.
Machining
We offer CNC or conventional hand controlled utilising fixtures for turning, milling, boring and precision grinding with a capability of achieving tolerances to a few microns and capacities up to 3 meters diameter.
Coatings
Galvanising lengths to 4 metres utilising hot dipping to 80 to 180 micron thicknesses typical. More ornate shapes are spun galvanised to 40 microns and for even shapes sheradising is used to apply a very smooth and accurate surface finish.
Additionally we can supply aluminium anodising, corrosion preventative marine paint systems, stove enamelling, powder coating and plastic polymer systems to RAL designated colour descriptions.
Please contact us at your earliest convenience, be it for informal help and advice to a detailed quotation in advance of a cost reduction in supply or development of a project in design.
