Copper Braid

Our diverse product range includes a variety of rounded and flat copper braids, as well as a selection of rope braids. These are available in a number of finishes, including:

• Bare copper/ Plain copper/ Red copper
• Electro tin-plated copper
• Electro nickel plated copper
• 99.99% pure silver electro plated copper
• Enamel coated copper (for insulation of each individual wire)

Earth Straps

Copper Braided Products is a leading supplier of highly flexible earthing connectors and earth leads. These are often used in switchgear, building services, and in numerous other applications across a wide range of industries. We offer:

• Earth strap F3510200 – equivalent to FURSE earth bond BN505
• Earth strap F3510400 – equivalent to FURSE earth bond BN510

Earth Bonds

Copper Braided Products supplies various earth bonding leads which are manufactured from high grade tinned copper braid to EN1977 and EN13602 standards. Highly flexible and suitable for high vibration areas, they are most often used as flexible electrical connectors and for lightning protection. Our bonds are available in lengths and cross-sections to suit each individual need, and with terminations to suit the intended application. They may also be supplied with our without insulation, depending on your preferences. Please get in touch with your requirements.

Pipe and Valve Bonds

We offer a wide range of pipe bonds and valve bonds that fit across flanges using the flange bolts as attachments. Copper braid is available from 6 sq mm to 16sq mm, with or without insulation, and we can also supply tri-rated green/yellow cable for the bonds as a pre-insulated alternative to copper braid.

Special lugs can be supplied for attaching to flange bolts – standard sizes include M16, M20, M26, M32 and M40. Bonds may be supplied already assembled or included in a kit with everything you need to make them up on site, including copper braid or tri-rated cable, lugs and crimp tooling.

Litz Wire

Litz wire is a cable used for carrying alternating current in electronic devices. It is designed to reduce the skin effect and proximity effect losses in conductors used at frequencies up to approximately 1MHz. Litz wire consists of many thin strands which are individually insulated and woven together in a carefully prescribed pattern. Litz conductors are commonly used in high frequency inductors and transformers, relays, motors, inverters, power supplies, DC/DC convertors, communications equipment, television equipment, sonar equipment and heat induction equipment. Oxygen free copper products

Oxygen-Free High Conductivity (OFHC) copper is commonly used in vacuum or cryogenic applications. It is produced by the direct conversion of selected refined cathodes and castings under carefully monitored conditions to prevent contamination of the oxygen-free metal during processing. This method of production ensures an extra high grade of metal with a copper content of 99.99%. The virtual absence of extraneous elements serves to accentuate the inherent properties of the copper, meaning high ductility, high electrical and thermal conductivity, good creep resistance, high impact strength and low relative volatility under high vacuum.
