Using Artos and Komax machines, Convert is able to process a comprehensive range of cable and wire, from single-stranded single-core, right through to multi-stranded multi-cored cables. The Artos MTX machine allows us to produce high volumes of processed cable to an exceptional quality and in a variety of formats; cut and stripped, twisted, tinned and/or crimped. It also includes crimp force analysers that automatically monitor the crimping forces used for every terminal applied. Defect crimps are automatically removed from the cable upon detection and are then processed by an active sorter which separates them from the rest of the batch.

Where wires cannot be processed automatically, we employ our semi-automatic Mecal & Tabro presses to apply un-insulated, pre-insulated and bootlace/ferrule terminals. Convert holds an extensive stock of applicator tooling for applying a comprehensive range of terminals and connector styles. For smaller volumes and prototyping, we use a range of hand tools for the various terminal styles, including Hirose, ITT, Molex, JST, Tyco, and Takbro.
