We have 13 models of RCU Air Cooled Chillers, ranging from 0.37 kW to 63 kW. All of them have been designed and manufactured in the UK, so you can expect nothing less than top quality. RCU Air Cooled Chillers feature non-ferrous fluid circuits, evaporators in copper or stainless steel, and fully insulated large volume GRP holding tanks. Water temperatures down to 1°C can be achieved without the use and antifreeze, and high or low water flow rates are easily accommodated for. Our RCU Air Cooled Chillers are able to fulfil a wide range of cooling requirements in a number of industrial, commercial, research and food processing applications. Though primarily suited to indoor use, these units may be placed externally with only a few minor modifications.

The required process water temperature determines the type of industrial water cooling solution that's needed. For example, if you need to cool water to within 3
°
C of wet bulb ambient, an evaporative cooling tower is the equipment of choice. Evaporative cooling towers hold several cost saving advantages. However, they do require water treatment and cleaning, and there is also some degree of water loss. A Dry Air Cooler is able to cool water to within 5
°
C of ambient, and these require less maintenance, little or no water treatment, and lose no water. However, because they can only cool to within 5
°
C of ambient, they are often inadequate in the height of summer, where ambient temperatures can reach 30
°
C. Refrigerated water chillers, however, can cool water/glycol to any temperature below ambient, but are more expensive to purchase and to run.

F & R Products makes available 5 different models of SCU Chillers, ranging from 1.4 kW to 8.1 kW nominal capacity. All of them have been designed and manufactured in the UK, which gives customers assurance of quality, performance and reliability. SCU Chillers come as self contained units with all operation and safety controls included. They are typically used in a laboratory environment for cooling scientific equipment. An integrated non ferrous high pressure pump maintains constant purity, pressure, and temperature, without excessive noise.

F & R supplies the Hyfra Chilly range of water chillers which are manufactured by Hyfra Pedia of Germany. These feature a stainless steel coil evaporator, a high-tech low noise scroll compressor, a high efficiency air cooled condenser, water connection couplings and a plastic water tank. Hyfra Chilly water chillers can operate up to a maximum temperature of 422
°.

Flat Bed Air Blast Coolers are able to fulfil a diverse range of cooling needs within the industrial process cooling market. There are a number of different models to choose from, all of them efficient, effective, and easy to operate. Flat Bed Air Blast Coolers have been designed to achieve optimum thermal efficiency and to satisfy a requirement for low noise levels and low energy consumption. They all feature an enclosed non ferrous liquid circuit that offers a number of benefits: there are no corrosion problems, no clogging of pipes and waterways, no need for water treatment, no evaporative losses, no blowdown losses, no drift losses, and no environmental contaminations. All these help to keep maintenance and running costs at a minimum.

|
F & R Products has designed and manufactured a wide range of air blast water coolers that hold many advantages over other liquid cooling methods. They cost less to run, they are quiet in operation, and they require little in the way of maintenance. Air Blast Water Coolers also benefit from the absence of corrosion problems and clogging. F & R Products offers a range of cooling towers that cover a variety of industrial applications. Cooling towers are used to extract heat from water on a continuous basis, achieving temperatures to within 33
°.
|
|
The TMR Series of cooling towers includes 47 different models which satisfy the needs of virtually all air conditioning refrigeration and process systems. Nominal capacity ranges from 90 kW to 4467 kW. All models feature integrated centrifugal fans that allow quiet operation, and since the overall dimensions are comparatively small, they are extremely easy to transport. For more information on the TMR range of cooling towers, please get in touch with the team at F &R Products. Remember, our experts are able to provide all the advice and guidance you need in indentifying the correct model for your application.

Lightweight and compact, the WT range of cooling towers are ideal for facilities where space is at a premium. There are 9 models to choose from, all of which feature a GRP shell that is capable of withstanding harsh working conditions. WT cooling towers have an induced draught counter flow design that is widely accepted as the most efficient cooling method in cooling tower technology. The component parts have been specifically selected to ensure maximum protection from corrosion, without compromising efficiency. In fact, the WT range has a low energy consumption rate, which helps keep costs at a minimum. A number of colours are available for customers to choose from.

°
C. Maximum operating temperature is 42
°.
|
|
The VP Chiller is a fully self contained unit with all operating and safety controls included. There are a number of models available covering a nominal capacity range of between 6 and 120 kW. VP Chillers feature an integrated non ferrous high pressure pump circuit which is capable of maintaining fluid temperatures at a constant level anywhere between -100
°
C and +20.
|
|
VWK Chillers are fully self contained units that include all operating and safety controls. The range covers models with nominal capacities between 6 and 120 kW. They feature an integrated non ferrous high pressure pump circuit capable of maintaining fluid temperatures between -100
°
C and +20
°
C, in ambient temperatures of up to 43
°
C. Multi-circuit and fully weatherproof models are also available. If you would like further details on the VWK/1 Chiller, or indeed any of the cooling solutions listed above, please head directly to the F & R Products website, or simply give us a call.

- Air Blast - Dry air coolers. We have 12 models in our range of air blast coolers with duties ranging from 1.5kW to 200kW. There is no need for any extra plumbing whatsoever just connect up the clearly marked water fittings to your existing ring main.
- CWK - Compact water chillers
- Decsa - Evaporative Cooling Towers
- F and R Evaporative Cooling - The purpose of a cooling tower is to extract heat from water on a continuous basis. To achieve this aim, water is spread in an even film over a large surface area achieved with a modern design of packing. A draught of air of relatively low humidity is passed over the wetted film in the opposite direction. The water is then cooled by means of:
1.latent heat of evaporation
2.conduction of heat to the cold air.
- F&R - Air Blast Liquid Coolers - The flat bed style of air blast liquid coolers have been designed to fulfil a wide range of cooling needs in the industrial process cooling market.
All models are efficient, economical and easy to operate, special attention has been given in their design to achieve optimum thermal efficiency, as well as allowing for low noise and low energy criteria to be met.
- FandR Air Blast Water Coolers - Many industries, heavy as well as light, still rely on mains water supplies from their regional authorities to fulfil their cooling requirements. However, this has become increasingly impractical and expensive. Water metering, effluent charges and a growing need to be independent from the disruptions to main supplies caused by drought and frost now make the purchase of an industrial cooling system an attractive and economical proposition.
F&R Products' range of air blast water coolers has many advantages over other means of cooling liquids:
- Hyfra Pedia - Water Chillers
- RCU - Air cooled chillers.
- RCU PB RANGE - The ten models in our PB range are designed for use in food manufacturing processes where a temperature controlled supply of potable water is required at temperatures down to 1°C. PB coolers will cope with water demands from 125-3200 litres per hour when cooling from 18°C to 5°C, with high discharge rates up to 210 litres per minute.
- SCU - Chillers. Coolers in the Laboratory.SCU close circuit recirculatory chillers are designed to ensure that the water you need for cooling is supplied to your laboratory equipment at a constant purity – constant pressure – constant temperature and to ensure this, many standard features have been built into the equipment.
- TMA Series - Cooling towers. Evaporative Cooling
