Round Wood of Mayfield consists of three strands: ‘Quality Oak & Decking Products,’ ‘Oak Framed Buildings’ and ‘Home & Garden Features.’

All operate from one facility and share a common belief in the traditional crafting of premium materials.

The Quality Oak & Decking Products we supply include solid and engineered flooring, sleepers, skirting, architrave, and complementary products such as oils and ironmongery.

In addition to Oak, decking is supplied in the tropical hardwoods Ipe, Balau and Massaranduba. The only softwood decking that we supply is cut from Cedar, as its resistance to fungal and insect attacks gives it similar durability to its denser cousins.

We also have an extremely well equipped joinery workshop, where we manufacture high specification internal and external doors, windows and staircases. Whilst a range of oak doors are available as stock items, we generally work to bespoke requirements.

Oak Framed Buildings

Hardwood Decking

Alongside our incredible oak decking materials and capabilities we also create decking using various tropical hardwood types including Ipe, Balau and Massarandube. These types of hardwood are excellent for decking due to their durable and attractive qualities. We also offer customers softwood decking in Cedar which features high levels of natural oils making it resistant to insect and fungal attacks.

To complement our range of decking we also provide a unique range of matching balustrade components as well as the ArchiDeck Hidden Fastening System.

IPE Decking

Our Ipe hardwood decking is a wood that is native to South America. There it is known as ‘Ironwood’ for its incredibly tough and durable qualities. Ipe is a dense timber that can arguably be labelled the toughest type of timber available in relation to decking products. We recommend Ipe decking for many projects as it is capable for lasting 100 years or more without needing to be treated. Ipe is a rich and attractive timber with effective grain swirls and sought after colour variations.

Flooring

We provide luxury flooring manufactured from high grade European Oak in solid form or engineered for use with underfloor heating. Our flooring is available in a range of widths, finishes and grades to meet all kinds of customer requirements and tastes. To complement our oak flooring range we also provide various products including underlay, oils, trims and skirting. We also offer Walnut flooring for customers who wish to achieve a rich, high-end look and feel to their setting.
