| Company Description |
Norfolk based Asbestos Risk Surveys specialises in providing customers with solutions to all asbestos related requests. We provide nationwide building surveys in order to detect if asbestos is present and, if so, at what sort of level. Our services enable building/ business owners to meet requirements of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 regulations. Our services are suitable for all types of businesses both big and small and we strive to meet all customer requests quickly and efficiently. Our team of asbestos surveyors are highly experienced and qualified to industry standards.

|
We provide three main types of survey. These include:
- Type 1: Presumptive. This type of survey is designed to locate in as much detail as possible the presence and extent of ACM's in the building.
- Type 2: Procedures for the Type 2 survey are much the same as for Type 1, however, this survey requires samples to be collected and analysed to determine the presence of asbestos.
- Type 3: This survey locates and describes all types of ACM’s within the building and may involve destructive inspection to gain access to difficult to reach areas.

|
Our asbestos management programmes follow strict procedures in order to provide safe, effective solutions to minimize the risk of ACM's. Our management programmes are created to provide tailored solutions for each different set of premises. Plans may include the following activities: clean up debris, repair, encapsulate (paint or seal), enclose, remove, maintain and update log of ACM's, monitor condition, restrict access/ isolate, label or colour code, inform staff, train staff, define and use safe systems of work, and operate a permit to work system. For further details of our asbestos management plans, please visit our website, or contact us at Asbestos Risk Surveys for more information.

In the CAR 2006 (regulation 7) it is a specific requirement
for all ACM’s to be removed as far as reasonably possible before refurbishment
or demolition works are carried out.
Here at Asbestos Risk Surveys, we undertake refurbishment
and demolition surveys to identify all ACM’s in the area before refurbishment
of demolition work begins. This type of survey is fully intrusive and involves
a destructive inspection to gain access to all areas in order to provide an
accurate survey. The refurbishment and demolition survey is often presented to
designers and contractors who are bidding for the work so that asbestos risks
can be taken into account.
