Polyurethane (PU) is an umbrella term that covers two main types of foam: polyester and polyether. While both types offer high quality and performance, they also encompass thousands of different materials and grades, each with unique properties, so finding the ideal PU foam to meet the specific technical requirements of your application is essential.
Polyester foams in general are slightly more stiff than polyether foams, having a more regular or even a closed-cell structure. They provide high tensile strength and water absorption while resisting solvents and the effects of ageing.
Polyether foams, on the other hand, offer softness and abrasion resistance as well as resistance to oil and hydrolysis.
With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, we have the knowledge, expertise and facilities to advice on the best choice of PU foam for your application at the most cost-effective price.

Polyethylene (PE) foam is ideal for applications requiring high levels of strength and protection in a lightweight foam. PE foam has excellent dampening and shock absorption properties as well as thermal insulation and durability.
PE foam is widely used in HVAC applications as well as in transportation and packaging. PE's buoyancy properties make it especially suitable for life vests and similar marine products. As PE foam can be moulded at high temperatures, it is also suited to sports and leisure products as well as body armour and footwear for emergency and military services.
We offer a wide range of branded PE foams, and our expertise and knowledge of the individual properties of each one enables us to supply you with the foam most suited to your requirements.

A specialised type of polyurethane foam, the cells in reticulated foams are blown open to create a foam with a precise and consistent cell size. This makes reticulated foams particularly suited to applications in which porosity, density and cell size are prime considerations.
We offer several types of reticulated foams in four broad categories:
Air filter foam
Water filter foam
Ceramic filter foam
Engine, vehicle and aircraft filters
In general, water filtration foams are made with polyether and air filtration foams are made with polyester.
We also provide other specialist reticulated foams designed for use in medical applications, such as respiratory device filters and wound dressings.

Originally developed by NASA in the 1980s, memory or visco-elastic foam returns to its original shape after compression. It is widely used for cushioning and bedding, but memory foam is not just for pillows and mattresses. Its strength and impact protection make it suitable for a vast range of applications, including helmet linings and supports for computer keyboards.
We can supply memory foam in more than twenty densities and levels of rigidity ranging from soft to very hard. We can also provide fire-retardant memory foam.
Our technical facilities enable us to produce memory foam products in an almost unlimited range of shapes and styles, including egg box profiling, 3D forms, or lamination with other types of foam.

We offer a vast range of sponges, including sponge pore foams, cellulose and natural sea sponges.
We can provide cellulose sponges and sponge pore foams in virtually any shape and size, and even laminate them to other materials when required.
We are the UK's largest importer and distributor of natural sea sponges, providing honeycomb, wool and grass, silk and loofah sponges for a variety of retailers and products.

We have the widest range of acoustic foam grades available in the UK, and our engineering facilities and expertise enable us to provide individually tailored noise reduction solutions for both industrial and domestic use.
Our acoustic foams are produced from polyurethane and melamine foams, taking advantage of the sound-dampening properties of their open-cell structures. We can produce acoustic foams in the most appropriate thickness, composition, grade and shape for your specific application.
We also have a range of composites and coatings including heat reflective and oil dispersive coatings, film and foil-based composites and aluminium inter layers.

Melamine foam is an open-cell, low-density polymer offering fire retardancy, sound absorption, and chemical and heat resistance in a lightweight, flexible substance.
Widely known under the trade name of Basotect, melamine foams are used for acoustic and insulation applications.
Melamine foam has also become very popular in the cleaning sector, where it is known as "Magic Sponge," which can remove stains and marks without the assistance of cleaning products. We helped develop and produce retail Magic Sponge products for major retailers such as Halfords and manufacturers such as Oven Pride.
Basotect melamine foam is chemical resistant and Class 0 rated for heat and flame retardancy.

We offer custom packaging foams that are tailored to each client's specific application, to provide the optimum solution for product protection and aesthetic appeal. We have the largest range of packaging foams available in the UK, and we can produce packaging foam in almost any shape or size, in a wide variety of materials and densities.
Whether you require a simple cut foam pad with egg-box profiling or bespoke CNC die cut foams, we offer a comprehensive service that can even include the printed product carton.
