Our innovative ARINC568 Distance Measuring Equipment Test Simulation card and software is used to test and verify the correct operation of DME display units. It consists of a PCE ARINC568 transmitter card and a Windows GUI package that enables the user to control the various tests without needing detailed knowledge of the ARINC interface. This component is used by many companies which need to extract navigational data from an ARINC 429 data bus and convert it onto an RS232 or RS 422 serial databus. The ARINC 429 to NMEA0183 converter is powered by an external 28 VDC nominal supply with internal current and thermal fuse. Inputs are reverse polarity protected. Product dimensions are 140mm Length (with flanges) x 64mm Width x 30mm Height. It weighs approximately 300 grams. For detailed specifications, follow the link to the YED website.

YED is also an industry-leading developer and manufacturer of Data Protocol Converters, which are used where two or more systems operating on different databus standards need to communicate with one another. Conversions are fixed format which means only the specified translations are performed.
These converters may be configured in line with the customers' requirements. They can be supplied as standalone PCB assemblies or as PCBs enclosed in a die cast box. For more information, follow the link to the YED website.

YED manufactures two different interface modules, the Mini-PANAVIA/T4 and Mini-PANAVIA/R4. The first of these is a module interface comprising of four independent transmitter channels which act as bus traffic simulators. The Mini-PANAVIA/R4 is a receiver module containing four line receivers for accepting differential clock and data from a PANAVIA databus, as well as proprietary FPGA receiver circuit, a dual-port RAM for interface with the local bus, and a microcontroller executing the receiver firmware. All devices are designed to meet regulations laid down by the European, US and EMC directives.
