We manufacture soluble film systems designed for packaging, waste source reduction, composite and sheet goods fabrication, edible applications and are continuously developing new products for innovative environmentally friendly applications. Our products are supported globally by a network of dedicated professional marketing partners.
1999 saw a major investment and expansion program with a move to a purpose built factory only 3 miles from the original plant. The company exports to over 40 different countries. Aquafilm joined the MonoSol Group of companies in 2004.

Aquafilm Limited was founded in 1986 to specialize in the manufacture of water soluble packaging films for industry and hospitals. Our manufacturing centre and Head Office is situated in Worcestershire England, West of Birmingham and close to the national motorway system.

- Aquafilm - MonoSol's Aquafilm laundry bags are totally soluble and biodegradable. Contaminated linen or clothing is placed in the bag, the bag is then sealed with its cold water soluble pink tie tape ready for transfer to the laundry where it is placed unopened into the washer. As the wash progresses, the laundry bags are reduced to a biologically degradable solution.
- Aquafilm Plus - The Aquafilm Plus laundry bag is hot water soluble and feature all the same properties as the standard Aquafilm bags with the added feature of a remarkable resistance to moisture and dampness, iedal for those hospital areas which have much wetter linen to deal with.
- Badgemaster - A heavy duty water soluble embroidery film used for backing purposes, craft and 3-D projects, intricate lace. Can be used exclusively or on stretch and net fabrics.
- MonoSol-Vee - Water soluble embroidery film used for topping or backing purposes as a stabilizer to create a smooth and detailed embroidery surface.
- TerraLOC - TERRALOC is an environmentally friendly, bio-degradable, water soluble dust suppressant and erosion control polymer that penetrates the soil, virtually locking down dust particles that would otherwise become airborne by traffic, machinery activity, or wind. After curing, TERRALOC acts like a net, trapping the dust particles at the surface to form a layer. TERRALOC is a polyvinyl alcohol polymer that can be reactivated after application with water, or use of a cross linking agent. This unique property allows for greater application flexibility on various soil types.
