Grey Technology Limited is an independent design, development and distribution company that was founded by Managing Director, Nick Grey, in November 2001.
The trademark name GTECH was registered in June 2002.
The GTECH head office is situated in the UK in Worcestershire. A second office in Hong Kong oversees the production process and quality assurance. Manufacturing takes place in China and Turkey. 16 employees now work full time for the company.
The GTECH brand is rapidly establishing itself in the UK in stores such as Comet, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Woolworths, Debenhams and many others.
In addition, the company has enjoyed considerable sales success in the U.S., Japan, Australia and Europe with more than 6 million products shipped to date (as of December 2004).
The company now has a total of 15 product lines and plan to launch a further 5 new products in 2007. GTECH focuses on designing products that are lightweight and cordless with useful innovative features. Testaments to this innovation are more than 100 patents granted and pending.
GTECH’s best selling product is their Cordless Electronic Floor Sweeper Launched in Autumn 2002, more than 4 million sweepers have been sold worldwide. In 2004, GTECH branched out into the garden sector with a range of 3 Cordless Garden tools.
