Abbey Polythene Ltd specialises in the manufacture of low density bottom weld polythene bags, sacks, tubing and sheeting. We utilise the latest Servo Drive Technology to produce high quality products which are used for a wide variety of wrapping, packaging and waste handling applications. In addition to our large selection of listed products, we also manufacture bespoke bags and sacks for specialist applications. This includes virgin food grade bags, tinted bags, coloured bags, printed bags, and double sealed heavy duty bags. Polythene bags can be produced in a wide range of colours (opaque or tinted), and we have the facilities to print almost any design. We use a number of additives to produce specialist polythene products such as anti-static bags suitable for PCBs, scented bags to mask unwanted smells and odours, and fire-retardant bags for safety. All of our products are manufactured from UK sourced polythene sheeting and tubing, and all of them are either fully recyclable or biodegradable. Standard pallet delivery is typically 2/3 days, but a next day delivery service is available on special request. Clear Refuse Sacks are typically used for waste segregation, waste
identification, and for handling recyclable materials. These are our most
popular products, and are in use throughout the UK and all over Europe. They
measure 18" x 29" x 39", but our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities allow
us to produce bespoke sizes to order. We accept orders of any quantity between
200 and 20,000. Delivery is subject to location, but we offer special discounts
for collected bags.

dramatically with the continued pressure put on all of us to look after and
protect our environment. At Abbey Polythene, we fully recognise our obligation
to contribute to the 'green' movement, which is why we manufacture a complete
range of degradable polythene bags, sheeting, tubing etc. This even includes
food grade and anti-static bags and films. We use an additive called Polybatch
DEG 68 which is added to polyethylene to catalyse degradation under the

Clinical waste bags are widely used by healthcare institutions, veterinary
surgeries and specialist waste collection companies to dispose of materials that
need to be incinerated. Our clinical waste bags are UN3291 certified and are
manufactured as opaque yellow sacks printed "Clinical Waste for Incineration
Only". These are available in large or small quantities, from 200 to 1400,
