Specialist Instruments Ltd (SIL) is a Salisbury-based designer and manufacturer of control panels, IPU engine panels, pump controllers, compressor controllers and controllers for other specialist applications.

SIL Panel Components

Our selection of panel components have been designed to enhance machine operation and are manufactured to the highest quality.  Our range includes the Display 2700 which provides a direct connection to the engine ECU Canbus J1939.  It’s multi-screen, multi-gauge display panel is operational at a wide range of temperatures and it also benefits from IP67 weather protection.  We also manufacture and supply various other panel components including a 4 position key start switch, engine gauges, tachometers/hourmeters, magnetic pickup sensors and a variety of other gauges, sensors and switches. SIL Industrial Power Unit (IPU) Panels

We manufacture three styles of Industrial Power Unit panels.  The SIL IPU-ONE is a simple, high-quality unit that has been designed for use with diesel engine industrial power units and features a high grade switch start, tachometer c/w hourmeter, alternator charge warning light, low oil pressure indicator and high temperature indicator (both with shutdown options), full engine harness and front panel circuit breaker.  The SIL IPU-G is built to the same high quality as the IPU-One but benefits from an enhanced level of instrumentation. The SIL IPU-E is designed for use with electric diesel engine industrial power units and features gauges for RPM, temperature and oil pressure, engine throttle control, alarms for derate and shutdown annunciation as well as full engine harness.

SIL Diesel Irrigation Pump Panels

Contact us to discuss panel requirements for your diesel irrigation pumps.  We manufacture three different styles that are designed to meet differing needs, from the simplistic features of our entry level SIL 150 pump control panel to the enhanced features of the SIL 900 LF, our top of the range unit. The SIL 150 is an attended start unit, whilst the SIL 450 has the addition of enhanced unattended protection.  The SIL 900 LF allows for complete remote controlled start up and shutdown via a text message, saving user time and increasing user productivity.  Each unit features a front panel circuit breaker and pump pressure switch gauge amongst others.
