Offshore medical support services are provided by Dr Kielty who operates his own company 'Examinair Ltd' which is based at Norwich International Airport.
Offshore workers are required to undergo and pass a medical examination which certifies them as medically fit to work in the offshore environment. This must be renewed every two years. Both the OGUK and NORWEGIAN medical assessments are provided and delivered in accordance with all required industry standards.
The following medical assessments are also available:
Comprehensive laboratory blood tests, and also formal laboratory urine screening for illicit substances and alcohol with full chain of custody are available with results normally within 48 hours. Urine testing for illicit substances and breathalyser alcohol testing are also avaiable on site to enable certification at the time of examination.Aviation medical examinations are required by both the CAA and FAA. Dr Kielty has over 12 years experience as an Aviation medical examiner. Examinair Ltd has a varied and growing client list including several large helicopter companies operating out of Norwich Airport. Additional investigations inf required can also be carried out at the time of the aeromedical examination including ECG, Audiometry, Spirometry (respiratory function), haemoglobin and cholesterol blood tests.
Dr Kielty holds both the Diploma in Occupational Medicine and the Diploma in Disability Assessment Medicine and is available for formal Occupational Health Consultations regarding work related issues.
