It operates in the fields of generators, diesel generators, generator power systems, diesel generator maintenance and installation, engine control systems and high and low voltage switchgear and more. The team at Burtonwood has more than 30 years of experience working in these industries and subsequently offers a fantastic, insightful service to their customers. We undertake diesel generator builds, maintenance upgrades and turnkey projects. These can be on a small or large scale. To give you an idea, values have ranged from £5K to £3M across the field. We are the only company to offer a complete range of supply and support services in the power generation field – this includes planned, reactive maintenance and diesel generator refurbishment.

Our cost effective maintenance services are of the highest standard and are carried out to clients’ requirements while at the same time ensuring they meet with manufacturers’ recommendations. We advise on the most effective maintenance program that is then carried out by our experienced service engineers. Our clients can expect a full range of services from annual maintenance to major overhaul if required, with load bank testing and 24hr emergency repair as part of a standard service. All this is complemented by technical advice, including site surveys and the production of specifications for all aspects of generator installation, service and maintenance.

At BGSS, we provide a service provision for high and low voltage Switchgear. Our services include on-site investigation, maintenance, emergency repairs and site surveys for new and existing Switchgear installations. As part of our maintenance programme we offer annual inspections and maintenance schedules which include pressure testing, primary and secondary injection, infra-red thermographic surveys and insulating oil sample testing. We also offer a 24 hour call out service, consultancy and technical advice for the management of Switchgear systems. We supply a wide range of generators of various sizes to suit customers’ needs. Requests, often urgent, are met quickly by our qualified engineers who will deliver, offer advice and demonstrate how to use the equipment safely. We supply fuel for short or long term hire and also supply fully automatic transfer panels for unmanned change over of electrical supplies and multiple standby capabilities.

Our field engineers are located throughout the UK to ensure that BGSS can provide customers with a fast, efficient response time. We are highly experienced within the industry and can facilitate individual field services across the UK as well as visits to multiple international installation projects. Previous projects have taken us to Gibraltor, Ireland and the Falkland Islands! Our highly competent team of mobile engineers provide a fantastic service to customers. Service vehicles are fully equipped with parts and tools for repairs.
