ChildSafe provides individuals, companies and organisations with a professional and affordable service to process their Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG Scheme) applications through Disclosure Scotland.       

We are an Umbrella Body registered with Disclosure Scotland to process PVG Scheme applications on behalf of companies and organisations.  

The PVG Scheme differs from the previous Disclosure Scheme as the individual becomes a member of the scheme. If they change employer they do not require going through the process again as the new employer can obtain a scheme update and register an interest in the person.  

If your organisation is involved in recruiting staff who have contact with children or protected adults, then it is highly likely that you will require to apply for a PVG Scheme Record or PVG Scheme Record Update through Disclosure Scotland.
