Indigo Surveys Ltd. is a national company consulting in arboriculture and ecology and providing measured surveys of land and buildings. We provide a multitude of services to industry wide professionals, local authorities and private clients alike, including:

Tree owners have a general duty of care to ensure the safety of visitors to their land and/or its vicinity and must show that regular inspections have take place by a competent person. From single trees to estate land, our arboricultural consultants are experts in tree hazard identification and providing sensible tree work recommendations in order to establish an acceptable level of risk.

Ecological Consultancy Services

Disturbing or interfering with protected species and/or their habitat can be a criminal offence. The early identification of such ecological considerations enables detailed surveys to be scheduled at the appropriate time.


Habitat surveys are a commonly utilised habitat assessment process and provide site specific ecology details, vegetations classification and identify the potential for protected species and/or their habitat. Extended surveys and reports include biological data searches and protected species investigation which inform the preliminary requirements of the planning process.

As each survey is tailored to the specific needs of the project we can either provide a detailed specification or work to yours. We can quote from as little as an aerial photograph and using AutoCAD we produce detailed plans of the built and natural environment relative to land co-ordinates, an existing datum or OS grid. We include information such as levels, contours, site features, GPS and cross sections, we are adaptable to each client request and can deliver in AutoCAD dwg, pdf and/or hard copy.
