Our modern and purpose-built packing facility features 24-hour security and controlled access, to ensure the security of your goods; we also have clean rooms that enable us to pack materials free of any dust particles or other contaminants.

Shrink Wrapping

We provide Shrink Wrapping – plastic wrapping used to package goods – services to provide an overwrap on a wide variety of packaging. This can include cartons, books, consumer goods packages, and other similar packs. Shrink Wrapping helps to stabilise the goods that are packed, for shipment; it can also be used to unitize them, i.e. bundle them into units for delivery. Shrink Wrapping also keeps goods clean and offers a measure of resistance to tampering in shipment. Further tamper resistance can be supplied with shrink bands or labels. And Shrink Wrapping can also be used to combine different products into one bundle that is easier to transport.

Shrink Sleeving

Shrink Sleeving is much like Shrink Wrapping – the difference is that instead of an all-encompassing wrap, we create a sleeve that leaves two ends of a package open. This solution is most commonly used for trays – often trays of drinks or other liquid-based products. Shrink Sleeving is a popular way of packaging products to be sold in bundled offers – two-for-one sales or free gifts attached to products that are for sale. We offer Shrink Sleeving services as a convenient system for you to stock partially-wrapped products without the extra plastic (including cost and inconvenience) of a full Shrink Wrap.

Flow Wrapping

Codex offers a Flow Wrapping service – this is similar to wrapping goods in the kind of packet used for potato crisps. Any kind of product can be Flow Wrapped, either individually or collated with other products. We only use polypropylene material at a grade suitable for wrapping foods. Our service includes a crimp seal at the top of the bottom, and a fin seal running the length of the wrap. Flow Wrapping is an excellent way to seal goods for promotional campaigns and free giveaways. It can also be used to include small goods inside larger packages – like toys inside cereal boxes. We can print the polypropylene in any colour, including metallic.

Labeling and Barcodes

We offer high-speed printing of Barcodes and Labels of all sizes to a professional standard. And we maintain a specialised barcode scanner to check that barcodes we print operate at an industry-wide standard – as expected in supermarkets and other retail venues.

Hand Packing

Codex is proud to offer a bespoke Hand Packing service for any kind of product – ideal for samples, gifts, promotional items, and special box sets.

Gluing
