The Foodservice Packaging Association promotes the interests of manufacturers, distributors and buyers of single use, disposable foodservice packaging used to serve food and beverages to the public away from home. The FPA encourages the use of disposable foodservice packaging by promoting and encouraging further development of its superior performance with respect to hygiene, safety, convenience, economy, reducing food waste, environment and sustainability.
OUR MISSION
We encourage the best practise and set the highest standards to our members with regard to serving the public at large and each other.
We enhance the reputation and understanding of the foodservice packaging industry by providing information to legislators, industry, pressure groups and media.
We lobby government so that decisions affecting our industry are made from an informed position and that the role of the foodservice packaging industry in minimising food waste is fully understood as is its significant contribution to the UK economy.
FPA SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT
The FPA seeks to help its members achieve sustainable development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We therefore support all initiatives that seek to achieve this objective, never knowingly condone activity that will harm the environment, actively develop strategies & programmes to help our members achieve environmental improvement , support initiatives that coincide with our aims of reducing food waste and improving the collection of used packaging materials and co-operate with all organisations that equally seek improvement provided they do not give bias or favour to any one individual material.
Our members are required to trade within the laws of all countries within which they trade and we promote ethical trading as the only acceptable form of conducting business.
