SATO Corporation is a public listed company in Japan, which was founded in 1940 by the late Chairman, Yo Sato, who was a pioneer in introducing one of the first hand labellers in 1962. In 1974, SATO also developed the innovative printer capable of printing barcodes and OCR characters. SATO went on to become the leader in the Data Collection System and Labelling Solutions Industry providing its customers (from different industries such as medical to packaging to entertainment industry) in many countries with revolutionary products which helped improve its customers' productivity, efficiency & cost savings. SATO UK was established in 2000.
