Star Uretech manufactures a range of binders that are used in decorative aggregate bonding applications, such as bounded gravel driveways, car parks, bonded chippings, decorative hard landscaping, high friction surfacing and tree bases. Bound natural or artificial aggregate dressings are most commonly used in landscaping and architectural applications, including driveways, paths, tree bases and planters. A 3 dimensional screed is used to bind the aggregate particles. These systems offer the appearance of loose aggregate without the associated problems of gradual displacement, rutting from traffic, and build up of rubbish.

This is a form of dressing or topping that is applied to roads in critical locations to improve skid resistance of the surface. It is often found on approaches to junctions, islands, pedestrian crossings, and also on tight bends. A finer particle variety is used in areas of lighter traffic, such as footpaths or cycle tracks. Again, it is used as anti-skid or anti-slip surfacing. We manufacture a resin system that has been designed specifically for use as the adhesive layer. This patented resin is made from renewable resources, contains no solvent and has ultra-low VOCs, making it the most environmentally friendly formula on the market. Highly impact and stress resistant, this innovative resin does not require a primer on typical substrates (wood, steel, concrete etc). We also manufacture pedestal adhesives used for all types of application in the access flooring industry. Completely solvent free and with ultra low VOC content, our one-part adhesives are preferred by the majority of access flooring companies. In comparison with two-part adhesives, our one-part solutions offer a relatively long working time; tins can be re-sealed and the adhesive used again. We also manufacture a thixotropic version which does not flow when applied, making it the ideal solution for uneven substrates. Our two-part adhesives are ideal for bonding metal to metal. A water based floor sealer is also available for hazard free application.

Star Uretech has developed resin-based membranous coatings that are applied as liquids which cure to tough, rubbery and waterproof films, generally 1-2mm in thickness. These solutions are often used as the waterproof layer on roofs or as the dpm on sub-ground engineering structures. These felt friendly coatings require no primer and come in black or grey versions.
