Kinematic Engineering Ltd provides a sub-contract testing Inspection service for R&D, batch, and first off or reverse engineering for all types of applications. These are processed in various manufacturing environments on our high accuracy Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). As part of our service we can develop complete solutions for the design and manufacture of holding fixtures and the creation of application programmes. To complement this, we provide software and operator training to ensure the best possible results are reached. We are also pleased to be able to offer CMM operator support to cover employee absences or for extra support on particular projects. Within our current structure we offer the following programmer and operator based training:
- Curves and Surfaces Option for PC-DMIS: features include immediate analysis of 3D curves and surfaces, automatic extraction of nominal values from CAD model, iterative alignment technique and surface scanning.
- PC-DMIS Geometric Software: features include PC DMIS operating environment/user interface, alignments, graphical manipulation, probe qualification, editing part programme and more.
- MicroMeasure IV – 3D Geometric Software: features include ICON Mode, Power Mode, Keyboard mode, sheet-metal option, 321 alignment option, and more.
- Levels of staged training: Level 1, 2, and 3 to suit different levels of experience.

At Kinematic Engineering Ltd, our trained engineers use our own CMM's to develop customer projects into full functional inspection application programmes and to ensure the highest level of quality control is achieved. Our service includes the development of application programmes for clients in PC-DMIS programming and SPC Lighthouse interfacing, the development of application programmes for clients in MicroMeasure IV programming and SPC Datapage RT interfacing, on or off-site programming, troubleshooting and support for new or existing customers, as well as the provision of additional elements such as E.G. Probing, Styli, Fixturing and Design.
