Company Description
Arete Software Ltd is unique in that it is focused exclusively on providing software, services and solutions to LEAs/Children’s Services Directorates across the UK. The Impulse suite of integrated products, developed on an Oracle platform exclusively for LEAs and Children’s Services, is used by 38 LEAs/Children Services Departments. Its design characteristics allow it to be implemented quickly and cost effectively, and where required, tailored for unique business processes. Impulse can be enhanced and extended to meet new challenges whilst offering robust, easy and low maintenance integration and frequent upgrades that are a feature of standard modern systems. In order to better understand Arete Software’s key fields of activity, an overview of a few of our successes are listed for a better recognition of the value we have to offer: • Arete Software was nominated as one of the top 20 fastest growing technology companies in London and the South East in the Deloitte Touche Technology Fast 500 awards in 2004; Specifically recognized as ‘The Fastest Growing Company within the LEA Marketplace.” • Arete Software won the contract to work with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) for the Pan London Register (2003) and the Camden ISA Trailblazer (2003). These two projects initiated by the ODPM, and where we played a key and critical role, have both been hailed as successful by all the parties involved. • Arete Software was awarded the Parcelforce Small Business Award for recognition of outstanding customer service and management quality. Competing against hundreds of other small firms, Arete Software proved outstanding in the fields of customer knowledge, quality, staffing, recruitment and overall business management. • London Borough of Redbridge Education Department won the award for Local Government IT Excellence in the national competition sponsored by the Society of Local Authority of Chief Executives (SOLACE) as a direct result of their partnership with Arete Software. Arete Software is also a member of Intellect (formerly the Computing Services & Software Association [CSSA]), the DfES Interoperability Group and ODPM-sponsored Adapters Club. Our affiliation and involvement with these groups puts us at the forefront of the education database software industry and has encouraged our innovations in the acclaimed (and above mentioned) Pan London Register Project and the ISA project.
