Coaxial Cable Assemblies We offer coaxial cable assemblies which are suitable for data, RF and video applications. We stock all the common varieties of connectors, including BNC, TNC, SMA, SMB, SMC, N-type, F-type and BT43. Highblade also makes available a range of adaptor units for interconnection between these ranges. Our coaxial cable assemblies can be supplied to your specifications, and may be flexible or semi-rigid. Like all of our products, these assemblies are inspected and tested before we send them to you. So whether you need low, medium or large volumes, we can supply coaxial cable assemblies that are customised for your application.
Fibre Optics Fibre optics have become the first choice of cabling for WAN's and LAN's in the data communications sector. This is because fibre optics are immune from EMI/RFI, have high data rates and can transmit data over long distances. Despite all these clear advantages, only recently have they become the system of choice for networking applications. We offer a full manufacturing service for all varieties of fibre optic cabling, whether you need ready-made assemblies or a customised site installation. We can terminate all forms of cabling with the connectors you require, and to complement our cabling service, we also offer a wide range of cabling accessories, including couplers, patch panels, transceivers, adaptors, wall outlets and termination cabinets.
Coiled Cables Our bespoke manufacturing service extends to the design and production of coiled extendable leads. Coiled leads are ideal for handheld devices such as keyboards, barcode scanners, telecommunication equipment and industrial devices. Highly flexible, these coiled cables are an extremely practical and reliable cabling solution. To achieve outstanding flexibility, copper wires are helically lapped (spiral screening) and are then coated in either PVC, Polyurethane, Polyethylene, or other elastomer rubber-like materials. Coating is available in a choice of colours, and can be finished with gloss, semi-gloss, satin or matt.
Ribbon Cable Accessories Ribbon cable is a fast, reliable and cost-effective solution to many cabling problems, and is therefore in use in a range of applications in the electronics industry. Compact and manageable, Ribbon cabling is typically used for connections to Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). We provide solutions for all the standard PC interfaces, but Highblade is also able to manufacture bespoke cabling systems for a range of specialist equipment. As well as offering standard grey ribbon cabling, we can also provide colour coded cabling. What’s more, we also manufacture special ribbon cables, including twisted pair (twist-n-flat), round jacketed (round-n-flat) and screened ribbon cables.
Circuit Boards and Sub-Assemblies Highblade has the facilities and expertise to take on the design and assembly of PCBs or even complete units to your exact specification. We have considerable experience producing equipment such as interface devices for EPOS systems, PSUs, LAN testers, printer upgrades, adaptor units, protocol converters, and many more devices. We can produce your PCB as a prototype, or mass produce it in single-sided, double-sided or multi-layer form. We can also populate your PCBs with free-issue or fully procured components.
